UFC Superstar Jorge Masvidal Blasts The Communist Regime In Cuba

Ultimate Fighting Championship superstar Jorge Masvidal may have been born and raised in the United States, but he definitely feels the plight of his fellow Cubans who are suffering under the current Miguel Diaz-Canel dictatorship.

Masvidal’s father escaped from the claws of the communist regime using a hand-made raft to brave the shark-infested waters and seek a much better life in America. This horrible experience of his father is his primary window to his roots. A reminder of a beautiful nation that was stricken with hardships and whose wonderful people deserve freedom just like most of us.

“My father escaped Cuba when he was 14 years old. And I’ve only heard the horror stories since I could process thoughts of how s***** this communist regime, killing machine is. So I just want to shed some light on Cuba. Big SOS signal for them,” Masvidal stated in a video on his twitter page.

“This oppression has been going on for 61 years. It’s not just because of the pandemic, or it’s not just because they ran out of medicine, because they’ve been out of medicine, they’ve been out of resources and food. Because of the corrupt government, the extreme corruption over there where only a few at the top eat and everybody else has to suffer. Those days have to come to an end,” Masvidal continued.

“I think it’s time for the whole world to rally behind Cuba. I think it’s up to us to put the word out there. It’s the people against these corrupt governments. Let’s defeat these evil Communist m***** f******,” Masvidal concluded.

Aside from his record-setting fastest knockout in the UFC, BMF belt-holder Jorge Masvidal is also well-known for his rivalry with hardline Donald Trump supporter and fellow welterweight Colby Covington. Both mixed martial arts fighters hold the former president with high regard and Trump has expressed back his admiration for the two athletes.

In his 4th of July speech, Donald Trump was all praises for the Miami-bred sportsman.

“I also want to thank a man who is a true fighter. You do not want to fight with him. These are tough guys, but don’t fight with this guy – Jorge Masvidal – because he brought Miami to a level that nobody thought a Republican could get to. Jorge, I want to thank you very much, you are really – he is truly a warrior. Even our folks from Congress would say Jorge is a warrior,” Donald Trump said.
