After trying to speak tough against Russian President Vladimir Putin during a press conference, President Joe Biden was ridiculed by the media.

Biden was reportedly on a phone call with Putin, where he confronted Putin about the ransomware attacks.

American Military News reports.  “According to a White House readout of the call, Biden confronted Putin about the attacks and “underscored the need for Russia to take action to disrupt ransomware groups operating in Russia and emphasized that he is committed to continued engagement on the broader threat posed by ransomware.”

According to the report Biden told the Russian president that the United States would take all necessary steps to defend its citizens and critical infrastructure against this ongoing challenge.

Biden seems to be taken lightly by the media. Biden was asked during a press conference about his phone conversation with Putin.

“Well I made it very clear to him that uh,” Biden started but then paused for an uncomfortable amount of time. “That the United States expects when ransomeware operations are coming from his [inaudible] even though it is not, not sponsored by the state we expect them to act if we have given them enough information to act on who that is. And secondly we have set up a means for communications now on a regular basis to be able to communicate to one another when each of us thinks something is happening in the other country that affects the home country. And so it went well, I’m optimistic.”

The reporter then asked Biden: “You stated previously that there would be consequences.” Sir, will there be consequences?

Biden replied, “Yes,” as he ran out of the room. The media began to laugh.
