Journalists Slam Chris Cuomo For Breach Of Ethics

America has the right to celebrate the resignation of embattled New York governor Andrew Cuomo, because a sex maniac in power is the last thing that our country needs. People however, are calling for his younger brother Chris Cuomo for his lack of ethics as a mainstream journalist.

“Chris Cuomo, as we learned in the AG’s report, gave his brother advice at the height of his sexual harassment scandal. He was also given confidential information he had no business having, and secretly made decisions that directly impacted state employees – yet has been held to no account,” New York Post writer Maureen Callahan said in her article earlier this week.

Callahan continued to lambast the host of Cuomo Prime Time on CNN for his lack of integrity in performing his work.

“What integrity. Think about this: Chris Cuomo, who curiously still derives power and status from his disgraced and deposed brother, still gets to make his own rules. What a farce. What a display of arrogance and entitlement. Not a shred of mortification or humility,” Callahan added.

Tim Graham of Fox News seems to share a similar stance against the sexual predator’s little brother Chris, who often uses his network to paint a positive image for his big bro during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. 2020 saw the state gaining nationwide attention for the death of more than 15,000 people in New York nursing homes.

“Color me shocked that Gov. Andrew Cuomo knuckled under to demands he resign after a devastating report detailing his sexual harassment of 11 women. But it was not quite as shocking as reading a Washington Post report that CNN’s top star Chris Cuomo was still moonlighting (or daylighting) as one of his top political advisers,” Graham said in his opinion piece.

“His interviews with his brother in 2020 should have been an ongoing source of embarrassment for CNN. They wanted to milk the ratings – they were so far behind in the ratings! – and they never demonstrated any concern that there was a damaging conflict of interest,” Graham continued.

Chris Cuomo maintains that his continued communication with the legally embroiled Democrat governor is out of brotherly love. Experts in the field of journalism feel that this is not a legitimate excuse and that the younger Cuomo should be held accountable.

“I would argue that makes the ethic of independence more important, not less. He failed in (his) responsibility by entangling himself in his brother’s political strategy. And in doing so, he cast a shadow over the work of other journalists, as people – quite fairly – could see this as evidence that mainstream journalism is too close and too comfortable with the rich and powerful,” wrote Kathleen Bartzen Culver, director of the Center for Journalism Ethics.
