‘Friends’ Fans Can Now Stay in Themed Airbnb Complete With Foosball Table

It may be more than a decade since cult sitcom Friends ended, but it’s still as popular as ever.

The show, which ran from 1994-2004, spawned famous quotes, hairstyles and furious debates over whether Ross and Rachel were on a break.

And now avid fans can stay in a Friends-themed apartment, with an AirBnb decked out in the show’s signature style.

Aptly called the The One With The Central Perk F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Theme, guests can relax in a living room resembling the famous Central Perk featuring a giant yellow couch, brick wall and oversized coffee cups.

The rest of the pad resembles Monica’s iconic apartment, with her signature purple front door complete with its own picture frame.

Props and nods to the series are everywhere, with a copy of The Shining in the fridge, a TV guide addressed to Miss Chanandler Bong and a guitar covered in lobster stickers, if you feel like channelling your inner Phoebe.

If you manage to find all the show memorabilia dotted throughout the rental, you can always entertain yourself with a game of foosball, which Chandler and Joey buy in the first season to replace their kitchen table after it breaks.

As well as Friends-themed décor, photos of the cast—Matthew Perry (Chandler), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) and David Schwimmer (Ross) – are everywhere.

There’s even a giant print of the six above the bed, which comes with its own Hugsy the penguin toy.

And the bathroom pays homage to Chandler, with a scene from one of his relaxing baths with Monica printed on the shower curtain.

Describing the listing, the website says: “For fans, this is a new way to explore and engage with FRIENDS like never before. This apartment features set recreations, scenes, and interactive iconic moments. Challenge yourself to find as many hidden props only true FRIENDS fans can appreciate.”

The themed-apartment, which underwent a revamp earlier this year, sleeps two on a queen-sized bed and costs $383.20 a night.

And while you’d expect it to be in the heart of New York, the listing is in fact in L.A., close to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

And that’s where the long-awaited Friends reunion was finally filmed earlier this month.

Starring the original six cast members, the one-off special is set to air on the HBO Max streaming service, after filming was delayed due to COVID-19.
