Former Abc News Executive Producer Accuses Chris Cuomo Of Sexual Harassment

Not to be outdone by his big brother, CNN personality Chris Cuomo has been accused of sexually harassing a veteran female producer during his time as correspondent and anchor on ABC News.

In her opinion piece for the New York Times, former executive producer Shelley Ross detailed her experience with the younger Cuomo back in 2005.

“At the time, I was the executive producer of an ABC entertainment special, but I was Mr. Cuomo’s executive producer at ‘Primetime Live’ just before that. I was at the party with my husband, who sat behind me on an ottoman sipping his Diet Coke as I spoke with work friends. When Mr. Cuomo entered the Upper West Side bar, he walked toward me and greeted me with a strong bear hug while lowering one hand to firmly grab and squeeze the cheek of my buttock,” Ross wrote.

A recipient of the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in a Newscast, Ross admitted that she didn’t want to incriminate Cuomo for his behavior due to concerns that the presenter of Cuomo Prime Time will suffer the same fate as his brother Andrew Cuomo. The older Cuomo recently stepped down from his gubernatorial post for sexuall harassment allegations and Chris Cuomo’s efforts to provide advice and refusal to cover his big bro’s story, forced Ross to spill the beans on their lewd encounter.

“I’m not asking for Mr. Cuomo to become the next casualty in this continuing terrible story. I hope he stays at CNN forever if he chooses. I would, however, like to see him journalistically repent: agree on air to study the impact of sexism, harassment and gender bias in the workplace, including his own, and then report on it,” Ross suggested.

“He could host a series of live town hall meetings, with documentary footage, produced by women with expert consultants. Call it ‘The Continuing Education of Chris Cuomo’ and make this a watershed moment instead of another stain on the career of one more powerful male news anchor,” Ross continued.

Chris Cuomo has been constantly creating bad publicity for CNN since he came to the company. It is surprising that this liberal-leaning mainstream media outfit hasn’t kicked him out yet. Last year, he even invited Andrew Cuomo to his show and did a cringeworthy segment that was rife with bad taste comedy. They fooled around on the show while the state of New York is being ravaged by COVID-related deaths.
