FBI Declassifies Information Connecting Saudi Officials To 911 Hijackers

For the past two decades, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Osama bin Laden’s motherland, has continually denied any involvement in the 9/11 attacks. After all, the Islamic fundamentalist country has pledged allegiance to the United States in exchange for military protection.

However, the FBI recently released some declassified information showing possible connections between some Saudi officials and the terrorist attacks on the World Trade center that caused the death of almost 3,000 Americans on that ill-fated day of September 11, 2001.

“The 17 pages of declassified but still partially redacted records, dated April 4, 2016, relate to the FBI’s “electronic communication” tied to Operation Encore, an FBI investigation into Sept. 11, 2001, which included scrutinizing possible links between the Saudi government and the terrorist attacks that occurred that day,” The Washington Examiner reported this previous weekend.

According to the report, Omar al Bayoumi, a former Saudi intelligence officer, and Fahad al Thumairy, a former Saudi consulate official, were said to have had some contacts with Khalid al Mihdhar and Nawaf al Hazmi, two of the 15 Saudis included in the plane hijacking.

The terrorists Mihdhar and Hazmi joined a training camp in Afghanistan before being selected by bin Laden himself for the 9/11 operation. They were the first hijackers to enter America back in 2000 and Bayoumi assisted and helped the two acquire accommodation and bank accounts.

“Bayoumi’s logistic support to Hazmi and Midhar included transaction, travel assistance, lodging, and financing. Anomalous money transfers within Bayoumi’s bank accounts coincide with translations wherein Bayoumi provided assistance to Hazmi and Midhar,” the FBI stated.

Although they are an ally dependent on the United States’ military capabilities, Saudi Arabia is a fundamentalist state that enforces a very strict interpretation of the Sharia law. They have been a huge problem for America due to the Saudi government’s failure to rid their kingdom of terrorism. In fact, their severe adherence to their religion’s laws has contributed largely to the rise of Islamic extremism.

“Today marks the moment when the Saudis cannot rely on the U.S. government from hiding the truth about 9/11. The release of the 2016 FBI Operation Encore Final Review accelerates our pursuit of truth and justice against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the worst terrorist attack to occur on U.S. soil,” stated Brett Eagleson, an American who lost his father, Bruce Eagleson in the 9/11 tragedy.
