Dr. Ben Carson Believes The Nation Is Waking Up Against Critical Race Theory

In a recent opinion piece on Fox News, Dr. Ben Carson Sr. talked about critical race theory and how this ideology can be stopped. He also stated that citizens are starting to realize what’s wrong in our society and most of them are now taking part in the fight against CRT.

Carson is remembered by most people for his unsuccessful run for U.S. president in the Republican primaries back in 2016 and it’s a shame that Americans have forgotten how great this man is. Before serving as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Carson was one of the pioneers in the field of neurosurgery in America. In 1984, at the age of 33, he was the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the country. Becoming the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center at such a young age was a marvelous accomplishment.

The most notable thing is that Carson did it as a black man who worked hard to excel in his chosen vocation regardless of his skin color. Refusing to believe that being dark-skinned is a hindrance to success in America, he set out to become one of the top doctors in modern history.

“Growing up poor in Detroit, if I had believed, as critical race theory (CRT) proponents claim, that my destiny was based on my race, I would not be where I am today. We cannot allow CRT to rob American children of that same hope that was instilled in me,” Carson wrote in his article.

“This divisive ideology seeks to replace the traditional American value of equality of opportunity with a regime that assumes all White people are racist oppressors and labels all racial minorities as victims,” Carson continued.

Carson also pointed out the destructive outcome of spreading such racist ideology, citing the increasing riots that have engulfed the nation with restlessness and violence. He would end his article however, with a more optimistic outlook.

“But if there’s any silver lining in the Marxist’s aggressive zeal to force CRT on our communities, it’s that their efforts are waking up the nation like few issues in recent memory, mobilizing citizens around the country to engage school boards and local governments to remove racist conspiracy theories like CRT from schools, businesses and government,” Carson added.

“This renewed engagement could be a promising first step in eroding the decades-long dominance of Marxism in American education,” Carson concluded.
