Del Rio Immigration Crisis Updates

Published

on

This previous weekend, the crisis at the Del Rio migrant camp has reached tipping levels as close to 15,000 immigrants have flocked to the area, putting more strain on the already-struggling border patrol.

“Speaking to Border Patrol agents, the worst is yet to come, they’re worried about what is behind here, they’re worried about coordination with Mexico,”  Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas told Fox News.

“If they decided to riot or if unrest happened, it would be a terrible situation. It is ripe. It is 100 degrees outside right now and you literally have 14,878 people here – this is how serious the situation is,” Pfluger stated.

The Biden administration’s incompetence has been making headlines from various angles all over the world. Aside from our economic troubles, we have the colossal gaffe in Afghanistan and most scary of all, this massive problem that we have in our homeland.

As the events unfold, we witness our country spiral into deeper degradation and it could only get worse as gangs and other criminal entities foray uncontrollably into American soil.

As much as our great nation wishes to help others, we have our own troubles with issues such as drugs, criminality and unemployment. Being invaded by a vast number of undocumented migrants will double the problems that we already experiencing.

According to an article by Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), “the Department of Homeland Security was warned of the vulnerabilities the Del Rio International Bridge posed to the Border Patrol’s law enforcement operations.”

“It was recommended that DHS immediately address the issue by setting up a temporary outdoor processing site (TOPS) as had been done previously under similar circumstances in the Rio Grande Valley at the Anzalduas Bridge,” Judd wrote.

“Instead of following sound advice, which would have avoided the current disaster, DHS ignored the suggestion, leaving the law enforcement community to deal with the consequences of their poor decisions,” Judd continued.

This crisis will inevitably trickle down to neighboring states as Texas wrestles with this human catastrophe that our top Democrat leaders have caused. Aside from the threats that it poses to our security, the consequences are boundless and will be difficult to rebound from if our government doesn’t act swiftly.

“Not only is the Biden administration putting the American public in danger by increasing the amounts of drugs and criminal aliens entering our country, they are also causing economic harm to Del Rio, Laredo and all the towns in between,” Judd added.
